Blogging For Money

blogs

So you've heard that having a blog is a good idea for your business, but are you sure WHY it's important? Understanding how blogs operate and how to use them for your business will give you great payoffs for your investment of time and energy. Not using your blog effectively will simply waste this fantastic resource.

WHY SHOULD I 'BLOG FOR BUSINESS'?

Blogs are a great method for giving your business credibility. Whether you post about industry news, recommend links to related topics or post valuable inside information or experiences, your audience will view you not only as a commercial venue but as a business interested in its community.

You can also use your blog to build traffic to your commercial site and to build a list of interested prospects. All of these issues are solid tools for marketing your product or service online.

WHY BLOGGING IS GREAT FOR CUSTOMERS

Blogs are not viewed the same as a typical website or sales page. The postings are often less formal or are presenting readers with interesting tidbits that entertain or inform about your topic or industry. Regular postings that draw the attention of your target market will build interest in your product and establish you as an 'expert' as well as create a good relationship with your prospects.

Since you can offer subscriptions to your blog through services like Bloglet.com, your prospects can easily receive notice of your recent postings right in their email inbox. By regularly posting relevant information your prospects will look to you first when needing the service or product you provide.

Since many blogs offer readers the ability to post comments you immediately provide an opportunity for feedback or questions. This can clue you in to what your market needs or thinks, which can quickly be responded to in your next post.

BLOGGING FOR TRAFFIC

There are several methods of traffic buildings with blogs. One method is through the blog provider. Often the provider offers readers the option of searching for blogs with a word or phrase. Using that phrase in your blog or title will bring interested visitors.

The other method is through search engines. Search engines love fresh content and blogs make this easy. Simply 'ping' your blog to other media (this announces your update) and the search engines will pick it up. Using commonly searched words and phrases may give you the top ranking you were looking for. You can also link to your business website with the phrase and increase traffic directly to your sales page.

Finally, you can add an RSS feature to your blog. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) allows other websites to run the content from your blog. Every time you make a post the information will be automatically updated on sites featuring your RSS. This is attractive to sites with topics related to yours since they will benefit from the fresh content and you will benefit from the exposure.

If you haven't jumped on the blogging bandwagon yet you've been missing out on one of the cheapest and smartest marketing tools available. Creating a blog is easy and profitable - so make yours today!

What's All This Noise About Blogs?

Blogs

The “blogosphere” is continuing to grow at an amazing pace. In fact, the number of published blogs is expected to double about every five months.

Right now, there is a new blog published every second, according to Technorati, the search engine that keeps track of Weblogs. In March there were over 7 million blogs, that number is now over 14 million.

Weblogs have become the homepages of the 21st century and are used for everything from sharing recipes, personal opinions and travel adventures, to the latest in political and economic news.

Blogs are also facing their share of controversy and praise. Reporters Without Borders recently published their “short list” of the seven best blogs out of 60, which won the “Freedom Blog Awards” for defending freedom of expression.

Winners (who are chosen by the public who vote for their favorite blogs) included “Shared Pains” which describes life in Afghan, and Mojtaba Saminejad, an Iranian whose blog is published in the Farsi language. (He received a two-year prison sentence in 2005 because of his blog). Another winner, Jeff Ooi, publishes the Malaysian blog “Screenshots” which is in English. Because he allowed a comment on his blog back in 2004 which reportedly “insulted Islam” according to authorities, he was also threatened with imprisonment.

This award marks the first year for the event, but Reporters Without Borders hopes to make it an annual one. The organization follows and reports on freedom of the press around the world.

In oppressive countries, such as Iran (which shut down almost all independent newspapers in 2000), blogs have provided a way for journalists and others to express themselves and share the latest news and happenings. But speaking up in such places often has serious consequences, such as one blogger in Iraq who was jailed by authorities after speaking up about what was simply a local problem.

China is another repressive area. Recently Chinese authorities declared that all bloggers had to register their blogs with them, or risk being shut down.

To help combat these and similar problems around the world, organizations are being set up to provide global support among bloggers for those who are being repressed.

One of the biggest controversies right now, is whether bloggers should receive “journalistic” status. Some people see blogs and bloggers as a kind of counterbalance to what they see as media arrogance, while others call them vigilantes. Recent events with Newsweek, CBS News and others have caused a division between the main stream media (MSM) and bloggers who feel the “truth is out there” and they want it told.

One thing both bloggers and the mainstream media agree on, is that things have been forever changed. The tools of mass media are no longer the property of the press alone, they’re also freely available to the people. What that means to us in the future, or what changes blogs will bring about to the way we receive and act on the news we get, no one really knows.

Not as controversial, blogs have also become a mainstream tool of large and small businesses everywhere.

Blogging provides a simple and low-cost method for businesses to stay in touch with their customers, get free publicity and build a business brand.

As technology continues to evolve, and the number of blogs continues to rise, it remains to be seen whether blogging will remain an effective business and marketing tool. But one thing is for certain – blogs are here to stay.

Here's Why Paying For Your Traffic Is A Smart Move

There are so many success stories you will hear about businesses making it good in the internet. The troubling thing is, there are maybe a tenfold or even a hundredfold of stories contradictory to theirs. Many have unsuccessfully launched a business enterprise that is internet based but only a handful shall succeed.

Is this through luck? That is even more remote. It takes good business sense and a lot of help and team effort. Most importantly, it is the eagerness to succeed and the determination to learn and the willingness to invest in a lot of hard work and some money.

The Very Basic

Like Neo, traffic is “The One”. Without traffic, all your effort would just go to waste. Every business needs customers, without them you wouldn’t have anyone to sell your products to. In the internet world traffic is the walk in customer. The more traffic you have the more people would be able to sell your products to.

But like any business that’s in every corner building or in the mall, not everyone that goes in will buy, but the greater of number that do come in to browse your merchandise, the greater number of people that will buy your products. It is a simple and known fact.

But, how do you get traffic, traffic large enough that could make a small percentage of eventual buyers enough to make a good profit. Many big companies generate traffic of tens of thousands a day and a measly ten to fifteen percent actually buys, but that small percentage is enough to provide them with good business.

Many of these success stories get their traffic from paying others. Yes that’s right; you have to spend money to make money. Advertising is the key. The more people that knows that your site exists; the more people would of course go to your site, that’s common sense.

While there are many ways that can get you advertising for free, this do not generate the same high volume as those methods that are getting paid. These paid advertisements include advertising schemes by Google and Yahoo.

The Value of Searches

The search and will be the easiest and fastest medium in finding what a person needs in the internet. Search engines have been very popular because they provide a vital service to many people. They are free and easy to use. With this popularity, they get many visitors and clicks that they are the most common sites that people go to. It is easy to understand why so many companies would pay to advertise with these search engines.

Search engines provide information to the millions of users that they have each day. They provide links to many sites that a user may be looking for. If your sites link pop up in the high ranks of the search results page, you get a great chance that they will go to your site. While search engine optimization is a cheaper and low cost way to get your site a high rank, paying for advertisements will ensure that you will be on the top ranks.

When you pay for your advertisements, it is like paying for your traffic. This may sound like not such a good idea, but the payoffs would tell a different story. When you pay for your traffic, you are guaranteed of a consistent traffic flow to your site. You will never go with an empty sales day.

Paying for your Traffic

Usually, you will be charged with the number of hits a link gets when your ads is clicked, this is called pay per click. For some search engines, you will be charged with the number of times your ad shows up when a certain keyword or keyword phrase is searched. It is imperative that you have good keyword content in your ad. There are many tools that aid you in using the right keyword for the right moment.

All the money you spend in paying for your traffic will not be for naught. You will get an impressive boost in traffic which will also result to a great boost in your sales figures. Paying for your traffic would be a really good idea and you will get all the benefits it has to offer.

Effectively Using Overture/Yahoo To Get Website Visitors

Overture or now known as Yahoo because of Yahoo’s takeover, was the original inventor of the use of the P4P or Pay for Performance. Overture saw that the internet was fast becoming the easiest and most convenient way to shop, and advertising was going to hit at an all time high because of the many businesses in the arena.

To get a person to go to a site than others, it needs to be very visible. Providing ads that could direct potential consumers and costumers to their site would allow them to have an increase in traffic as well as sales. Yahoo provides a service that can put a site or company’s ad in their sites that can be shown when certain keywords are inputted.

Yahoo offers a chance for any company to increase their traffic by using their services. With more people being aware of your site, there would be more traffic and visitors to your site given the chance to view your pages as well as your products. With even a small percentage of successful sales, with a high traffic volume this could still be a substantial figure for your company.

Getting a consistent substantial flow of website visitors is every company’s goal. Many methods are devised and utilized to ensure that there would be more people to boost the sales and to be aware of the existence of such a product or service. Website visitors are potentially the life blood of your internet based business.

Yahoo/Overture utilizes the same principle as Google’s Adwords. In fact, they are very similar to each other that they use keyword and keyword phrase searches and to determine which ads to show per search. When a person types in a keyword or keyword phrase to search for anything, the search engines gives out the results in a page. Then at the right side of the page, you will see selected ads that have paid for their ads to be viewed with certain keywords and keyword phrases searched.

For example, Lets say you run a car parts retail/wholesale site. You choose keywords that can prompt or trigger your ads to be shown in the page when a keyword is searched. When a search engine user types in Honda Accord, your ad may come up if you have designated that as one of your keywords. You don’t need to fully optimize your site with Search Engine Optimization methods and techniques.

While some labor so hard to make their site one of the high ranking sites per keyword search, you get the chance to be on the top of the list or at least in the first page of a search result increasing your chance to be clicked on. With that, you drive traffic and website visitors to your site a lot faster.

You will have to pony up some cash when using this service though. There are different ways Yahoo/Overture will charge you. It may be in the number of Keywords or Keyword phrases your ad uses or in the many times your ad is clicked on. Others offer many other services like having your ad show up not only in the search engine pages but also with some third party sites.

Third party sites support ads that have the same theme or niche as them. With more areas your ad is shown, you increase the chances of people knowing about your site or product. With more website visitors you increase the sales of your site which makes your investment with your ads a wise one.

With so many competitions in the internet based businesses, it is necessary to take a huge leap forward from the pack by advertising. Yahoo/Overture will be a great place to start. Many have utilized their services and have reaped the rewards of this decision. It’s a marketing strategy that will increase your website visitors as well as increase your sales resulting to profit.

It takes money to make money, while there are some methods that are basically low cost or free, using a marketing service such as what Yahoo/Overture offers will provide results faster and on a larger scale. Many businesses have learned this the hard way, don’t be counted with them.

One of my favorite net marketing tasks is creating a FREE report or e-course and watching it fill with subscribers on an autoresponder.

You might not realize that this is one of the easiest andbest methods of selling your products or affiliate productsbecause you develop a rapport or relationship with your subscribers by giving them quality information. Remember its quality not necessarily quantity that will endear or at least brand yourself as someone they come to know and respect.

So how do you create an e-course that, once its uploaded to your autoresponder, is a forget and walk away listbuilder?

Here's the way I do it, at least most of the time :o)

1. Pick a subject you know a little about and research itto see if there is a demand or need to know. The best way to research for a subject is to visit the discussion boards or forums. Do a search on Google for the subject, for instance, if you were interested in writing about poodles, you might search for "dog discussion groups". See what people are talking about and what concerns, problems and issues they have with poodles or maybe another type of dog.

Next, after determining their is a need for this information, you can start writing or do a search for other articles, reports on poodles to get ideas and content. You don't want to just copy/paste from an article as that is plagiarism or infringement of copyrights. You can rearrange or change the wording so that it is distinctly different and use that content. Or you can ask the author for permission to use his article, with or without any resource box.

2. Now that you have at least one message or lesson completed, you need to set up your autoresponder. If you don't have one, there are a lot of them online, andI've used many and can tell you that some are good and some are bad and some so-so. One I use is IsoResponder
and it has many good features like a 2,000 subscriber import per day, personalization, tracking how many many opened your email message, a very fast support system and much more. Basically, you want one that allows unlimited lists, unlimited imports and double opt in subscription (that means the subscriber has to confirm their subscription before theyare added)
With the CAN-SPAM Act you must be very careful and protect yourself from being accused of spamming. By double opt ins you get the IP # and date they subscribe which will be enough evidence to counter any false accusation.

Because each a/r is set up differently, you will need to read the instructions on how to set it a new list. Once you a/r has you first message uploaded, with personalization so that the subscribers first name is used in the message, you are ready to begin building your subscriberbase.

3. Building Your List

Depending on your a/r you can build your subscriber base in three ways. Create a form that you insert on your web page. Remember to create the thank you page which the subscriber will be re-directed to automatically after filling in the form. Make it simple, "Thank you for your subscription and look for the first lesson in your email box in the next minute or so" is all you need. Don’t try to sell them or they will probably be turned off and unsubscribe or just ignore your future ads. If the a/r has this feature, use the email link in your signatures, on your web pages, in your ads.

The third way is to buy leads and import them into your a/r. This is a great way of quickly building your list, but you need to make sure the leads are fresh, come with an IP # and date of subscription. I like to create a new lesson or report every day until I have at least 7. If its an e-course then you send out your lessons every day, but if its a report or other message, then space them out to every other day...at least. You don’twant them to think you are hammering them with ads.

4. Your Ads

I like to call my ad in each lesson, This Lesson Is Sponsored By. Most readers aren’t turned off by this one ad as they are with the lesson sprinkled with ads and your affiliate links.
Make the sponsor something that is related to your topic. In the case of the poodle e-course you wouldn’t want to sell bird food :o)

Side Note: If you have a newsetter you know it is very time-consuming and tedious especially if you do one a week. I have found the best way to write, format and send my newsletter with a Automated Newsletter Generator as part of your membership in Infogoround. You search for an article in their huge database that you have private label rights (meaning you can use the article as if you wrote it with you signature as author!), plug the article # in the space provided, pick a signature and a top sponsor ad, click the generate button and presto it spits out a perfectly formatted newsletter! It takes about 5 min. instead of the 2-3 hours it used to take me.
Check it out: http://www.ad-alyzer.com/727/articlestogo

Dog biscuits, poodle trimming tools, or flea powder would be on target. If you don’t have a product to sell, go to Commission Junction, Linkshare orBeFree.com which lists 100s of affiliate products and its free to join. Or do a search on the search engines.

Keep building your e-courses and reports and watch yoursales and income soar!

The Absolute Best Way To Get 1,000's Of Targeted Visitors To Your Web Site!

Have you been trying to get more visitors or prospects to your web site with little to show?

I know what you are going through as I've tried them all and then some :o)
  • Link exchanges
  • Classified Ads
  • Ezine Publishing
  • Ezine Ad Purchases
  • Auto Surf Programs
  • Pay Per Clicks
  • Etc Etc Etc!

But until I started doing one thing, I was wasting a ton of time and money.

What is the one thing?

Article Submission!

But you say, "I'm not a writer". That is ok because I'm going to show you how you can get 100's of articles in 40 different topics that you can use as if you wrote them!

Legally too :o)

This is one of the best kept secrets, submitting articles without paying for a ghost writer or spending hours researching, compiling, writing and submitting your articles.

However here is the caveat. Don't submit the entire article but a teaser to get visitors to visit the web page where your article is. The reason is that Google and other's look for duplicate content and even if you re-hash, modify the article they still will penalize you for duplicate content, which is plagiarism.

And submitting the entire article to other sites only boosts that sites ranking and not yours for the keyword or keyword phrases you are targeting.

Use the modified articles for your web site's content and it will help your ranking with the search engines.

Does this mean you shouldn't use Private Label Articles? No! It does mean that you have to use them properly to gain rankings.

Here is my 1-2-3 system that takes less than 1/2 hour to submit a fresh article as my own.

1. I use InfoGoRound at http://www.ad-alyzer.com/727/articlestogo that has 1000's of articles (100-200 articles added every month).

I enter the keyword I want an article in and the search box gives me a list of articles to choose. After reading the articles of interest I select the one I want to use. Most times I change the headline and some of the body so that it is different and will be viewed as truly my own.

I write the resource or bio info. This is 4-5 lines of where I want the readers to go for more information on one of my sites, or an affiliate site.

It is usually something like:

http://www.build-an-ebusiness-on-a-shoestring.com ___________________________________

This takes 10-15 minutes.

2. I take this modified article to Affiliate Marketer at
http://www.ad-alyzer.com/727/articlemarketer which submits it to 30,000 of the top article directories, ezines and other article web sites. They allow unlimited articles per month and are one of the least expensive article submission sites.

This takes 10-15 minutes.

3. I add the article to an appropriate web site, post it to a blog, and add it to one of my lists.

Optional but highly recommended.

SideNote: Make sure you don't use any affiliate links or at most 1 or 2 in your article. Many will reject them as too commercial and not list them. Plus you will not look professional.

I have seen my Google Page Rank increase from 2-4 and 2-3 on many sites and this site from 3 to 6 and my Alexa rating drop by over 100,000, after 1 month!

The bottom line is that you don't have to spend hours submitting articles and creating fresh content for your web sites or lists. Other than the fees for InfoGoRound and Article Marketer (which both have an affiliate program so you can easily pay for them out of your commission) article submission is the best way to attract 1,000's of targeted prospects to your web site or affiliate site.

Earn $516.53 Per Day From Free Blogs

Now you can earn huge affiliate commissions using free blogs

If your fed up of paying huge PPC costs and are desperate to increase your traffic and affiliate checks then you need to read this email right now.

I have just been talking to my friend Rob Benwell who was telling me a great story about how in the last few months he's gone from zero to $516.53 per day in affiliate commissions without spending a single penny on advertising.

The story was so interesting I have to share it with you.

The story started a couple of months ago when Rob set up his first blog. He set it up because there was a lot of talk about blogging been the future of the internet. He set it up. Got a few backlinks, 9 in fact and then left it.

A week later he checked his position in the search engines and he had a #1 ranking for the main keyword. He was receiving a ton of visitors. He also had a few other #2 and #3 positions for other keywords.

He looked into it and was shocked to see he had out-ranked sites with thousands of backlinks. He told me he was so excited that he couldn't sleep and spent the night up trying to figure out why this was happening.

He looked at everything different he had done with his blog that others were missing. He set up others blogs which included ads for affiliate programs and followed this method with a few little tweaks here and there. He now claims to have "cracked the secret code" to getting a ton of free traffic and keeps setting blogs up on a weekly basis. He told me he expects his affiliate checks to double or even triple in the next two months.

Now you may be wondering what this story has to do with you. Well, Rob has put together an exact blueprint of his new system that takes you from zero to huge affiliate checks like him. It includes screenshots and examples all the way leaving no stone unturned.

There is even a ton of stuff for advanced marketers in it that everyone else is missing. It is truly the best course on blogging, affiliate marketing and getting free traffic I have ever read.

I urge you to check it out right now by clicking below.

Rob is running a special offer today so don't leave this till tomorrow.

P.S. He's even offering a free report just for visiting his site so if there's just one thing you do today make sure this is it.

WHAT IS BLOGGING?

Blogging is a method of sharing information over the internet for work, pleasure or both. 'Blogs' are often described as an online diary, with dated posts displayed chronologically. 'Blogging' is the action of posting a message on a blog. A 'blogger' is the person posting the message. Many blogs also allow you to post pictures and receive comments from readers.

Blogs can be about anything. They are usually based on a particular topic or an individual's personal thoughts and opinions. They often contain links to other related sites and are commonly free to operate. They require little knowledge to set up and are simple to update.

WHO USES A BLOG?

Who DOESN'T use a blog?

Teenagers have blogs, celebrity clubs have blogs, news agencies have blogs, businesses have blogs - even your aunt Sophie could have a blog. The wonderful thing about blogs is that there are virtually no restraints on what it could be used for. If you want to develop a rapport with your customers, make regular postings about your business and gain interest from other media outlets or potential customers you would certainly benefit from starting a blog.
